Launched in late 1994, the Porsche 911 Carrera (993) retained the familiar 3.6-litre M64 flat-six engine from the 964 generation, updated with hydraulic valve lifters and a revised exhaust system. Power output was 272 hp. Approximately 23,000 coupés, 15,500 Cabriolets, and 4,500 Targas were produced, and the model was available with either a manual gearbox or a Tiptronic automatic transmission. The 993 was replaced by the 996 Carrera in 1998.

The 993 was the last air-cooled “true” 911, combining classic styling with modern comfort and performance. The standard Carrera featured softer body lines, round headlights, widened rear fenders, and an automatically deploying rear spoiler. Inside, the slightly updated 964-derived cabin offered sport seats, a four-spoke steering wheel, and the signature five-gauge instrument cluster.

Technically, the M64 flat-six received a redesigned bottom end, hydraulic valve lifters, heat-resistant aluminium cylinder heads, and twin catalytic converters. The revised suspension setup, featuring an aluminium subframe and multi-link rear suspension, significantly improved handling and also enabled further motorsport development.

This particular example began its life in Japan in February 1995. In December 2008, with an odometer reading of 82,459 km, the car was registered in Finland.

This 993 is exceptionally striking, with its Midnight Blue Metallic exterior combined with a black leather interior creating an elegant and timeless specification. The RS-style Techart rear spoiler and front lip, together with the stunning Speedline wheels, complete the appearance perfectly.

The Dansk sport exhaust system delivers a truly magnificent soundtrack, while driving dynamics were significantly improved in 2024 with the installation of an adjustable Bilstein B16 suspension kit, professionally set up last summer. The engine runs beautifully, and the gearbox operates seamlessly. The manual shift mode allows the driver to change gears manually for a more engaging and sporting driving experience. Audio quality and usability have also been enhanced with upgraded stereo equipment featuring Bluetooth and hands-free functionality. The car has additionally been fitted with remote central locking.

Technically, the car is in excellent condition, with comprehensive service documentation dating back to 2004, when the odometer showed 62,004 km. The car has clearly been very well cared for through regular maintenance and preventative repairs, all documented in the vehicle’s history file. The most recent scheduled service was completed by Porsche specialist Autohuolto Lindqvist on 2 September 2025 at 106,127 km. The vehicle was registered as a historic vehicle on 24 April 2024.

A condition inspection was carried out by a Porsche specialist workshop in September 2022, after which the car has covered only approximately 15,000 kilometres.
