The 991 Turbo was introduced 40 years after the first 911 Turbo prototype. The power figure was exactly twice that of the original. The engine is basically the same direct fuel injection (DFI) unit that was in the 997 Turbo 3.8; it’s just that fine-tuning has given it 15 kW of additional power to retain the power-to-weight ratio of its predecessor.

The PDK has a coasting function, which means the gearbox is declutched from the engine under free running (like shifting to neutral with a manual gearbox), allowing the engine to drop its revolutions to idle speed and save some CO₂. If you brake while coasting (for example, when approaching traffic lights), the engine is completely shut off.

The first 911 to have rear-axle steering was the 991. The system was designed for the 991 Turbo in the first place, but as a last-minute decision, it was also incorporated into the GT3, which was launched before the Turbo. At speeds of up to 50 km/h, the Porsche system steers the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels, simplifying maneuvering and parking. Between 50–80 km/h, the rear wheels are not steered, and at speeds above 80 km/h, the system steers the rear wheels parallel to the front wheels, allowing the car to change lanes more smoothly.

Porsche developed an active aerodynamic system for the 991 Turbo. It consists of a sturdy, retractable three-stage front spoiler lip, in addition to the three positions the rear wing can take. This allows the 991 Turbo to configure its front and rear spoilers either for fast cornering on the racetrack or for maximum speed on straights. In the performance position, all segments of the front spoiler are fully extended, generating considerable downforce at the front axle. Similarly, the rear wing extends to its maximum height with the greatest angle of attack, producing maximum downforce at the rear axle.

Our car started its life in Germany, where it was delivered on the 22nd of November, 2013, at Porsche Center Stuttgart. In October 2020, with 90,642 km on the odometer, the car was acquired from a German Porsche Center and imported to Finland, and it has been in the same ownership ever since.

The car’s appearance is very eye-catching, with a stunning Rhodium Silver Metallic exterior and a full black leather interior with sport seats and 14-way electrically adjustable sport seats with memory on the driver’s side. The car is equipped with PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control), an optional hydraulic anti-roll system designed to minimize body roll in corners.

The exhaust note is enhanced by a Cargraphic sport exhaust system fitted to the car. It gives a fantastic rumble and character to this beautiful 911 Turbo. The Bose sound system enhances the driving experience.

The car is in excellent condition and comes with a full service history, and it has been serviced annually in recent years.

Please get in touch for more information about the car’s history or to request additional photos—this is a car that must be seen and experienced in person.
