The 2003–2005 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (996) represents the pinnacle of the open-top 911 range of its era, combining outstanding performance with the versatile driving pleasure of a convertible. Its twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine produces 309 kW (420 hp) and an impressive 560 Nm of torque across a wide rev range, making the car effortless to drive in both relaxed cruising and spirited conditions. The electro-hydraulic soft top operates quickly and can be used at speeds of up to 50 km/h, and a hardtop was also supplied as standard.
Technically, the model is highly advanced: the engine’s VarioCam Plus valve control system improves power, efficiency, and drivability. A six-speed manual transmission was standard, with the Tiptronic S automatic available as an option. The all-wheel-drive system continuously adapts torque distribution based on traction, and the reinforced body structure gives the Cabriolet exceptional rigidity for an open-top car of its time. Safety and driving dynamics are enhanced by Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and powerful brakes. Overall, this is a technically refined and highly capable convertible that strongly reflects the heritage of Porsche’s Turbo models. The model was produced between 2003 and 2005, with a total of 3,426 units manufactured.
This particular example has been preserved in exceptionally fine and original condition – a car that appeals equally to collectors and discerning enthusiasts.
The car was first registered in Germany at Porsche Zentrum Hamburg on April 25, 2005. It had two owners in Germany, where all servicing was carried out at authorized Porsche dealerships. The car was imported to Finland in April 2013 with approximately 62,000 km on the odometer. The original German sales listing and early documentation are still preserved, along with all factory-supplied service and owner’s manuals.
In Finland, the car has had two owners, the most recent of whom kept it for nearly ten years. The service history is comprehensive and meticulously documented, reflecting the careful ownership and evident in the car’s condition.
The car comes with the original factory hardtop, making it highly versatile. The hardtop is easy to remove, and an original Porsche storage stand is included. In addition to the black Turbo Twist wheels shown in the photos, the car also comes with silver 18” GT3 wheels.
This car offers a unique combination of performance, driving enjoyment, and durability – crowned by the legendary Mezger engine. The Arctic Silver exterior paired with a full black leather interior creates a timeless and striking appearance that continues to impress year after year.
The Bose sound system provides high-quality audio when you choose to use it – although the car’s own soundtrack is truly something special.
