The Jaguar E-Type is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful sports cars ever created. Its timeless proportions, long bonnet and elegant open-top bodywork have secured its place as a true icon of 1960s and 1970s automotive design. Introduced in 1971, the Series III combined the legendary E-Type silhouette with Jaguar's new 5.3-litre V12 engine, offering refined performance and effortless grand touring capability. It represents the most powerful and luxurious evolution of the E-Type—a car equally suited to relaxed Sunday drives and long-distance touring.
Offered here is a 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 Roadster, imported to Finland from Arizona, where it has remained for the past two decades. The car is registered as a historic vehicle and has been maintained regularly throughout its time in Finland. It has seen only limited use in recent years, covering approximately 8,000 kilometres over the last 20 years.
The car is in good, mechanically sound driving condition and has benefited from a number of maintenance and refurbishment works. The seat upholstery has been renewed, the black soft top has been replaced, as have the exhaust system and distributor. In addition, all four Stromberg carburettors have been dismantled and serviced, ensuring the V12 runs smoothly and reliably. The car has also been refinished in an elegant Regency Red, a colour that perfectly complements the E-Type's timeless lines.
The smooth and powerful 5.3-litre V12 delivers a truly unique driving experience. Abundant torque, effortless power delivery and the unmistakable soundtrack of Jaguar's legendary twelve-cylinder engine make the Series III an exceptional classic grand tourer, equally enjoyable on winding country roads and extended journeys alike.
