After using the model name RS for racing inspired cars throughout the history, Porsche changed the name in accordance with the FIA homologation for GT3 Cup. Based on the 996 model, the GT3 is more track and performance optimized with upgraded chassis and lightweight thinking. At 1350Kg, the car is very light even though the regulative passive safety features have been adapted. The first series of GT3 engine is based on the outgoing air-cooled (Mezger) unit and is known for it´s strength and has a long history starting from the 930 3.0, including race engines and the 959, which has a similar setup. The 911 GT3 series 1 still has a single mass flywheel.
Our car is accident free and in mint good condition. The car was imported from Germany in 2011. Having the CS package and race cage the car is the most sought after variant. An extensive service was carried out in 2021. This is a drivers car and it communicates the driving surface perfectly with the driver. On sale on behalf of owner.
